In the early 21st century, China' s high-end gas analyzer market was dominated by international brands. Equipment was expensive, service was slow, and industry development was constrained.
These challenges had motivated Chang Ai' s two founders—Chen Yaping and Pu Youqiang. Starting from a laboratory, they dedicated themselves to the independent development of sensors and algorithms. With a solid technical foundation, they pioneered a new path for domestically produced high-end gas analyzers.
In the winter of 2004, Shanghai Chang Ai Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. was officially founded in a small R&D studio in Pudong, Shanghai, covering less than 100 square meters.
"Chang" symbolizes everlasting light, while "Ai" represents precise protection. The brand name embodies the founders' original mission and their commitment to earning customer trust.
In the early days, the team faced multiple challenges: technical, financial, and market-related. To solve the stability issues of sensors, they spent long hours in the laboratory; to secure their first order, they brought their equipment to a steel mill and conducted continuous tests in high-temperature conditions, ultimately winning trust through reliable data.
In 2005, Chang Ai launched China's first online oxygen analyzer that did not require a reference gas, achieving a technological breakthrough with international-level precision and better cost efficiency. By 2008, this product was selected for the environmental monitoring system of the Beijing Olympics, marking the first time domestically produced analyzers reached an international high-standard stage.
Building on the success of the Olympic project, Chang Ai gradually established a complete industry chain.
Over the decade, our company undertook multiple national-level research projects, obtained over a hundred patents, and expanded its product range from single analyzers to multi-parameter systems, serving more than 20 countries and regions worldwide.
